RAF St Mawgan Summer Camp

Four Air Cadets from 22 (Sandy) Squadron recently returned from a week long summer camp at RAF St Mawgan in Cornwall, starting on Saturday 3rd August.

The camp saw the cadets involved in many activities throughout the week, including visits to the Eden Project, Falmouth maritime museum, and a local aircraft museum. The cadets also had activities, such as first aid training, laser tag, rifle training, session on a climbing wall and sports and a day at the local beach.

Another highlight of the week was the chance for Cadet Peter Hessey, who got the opportunity to have a go on the flight simulator on the station. Cadet Peter Hessey, Cadet Matthew Foster and Cadet Rebecca Hammond were also part of A flight, which won the drill competition and laser tag during the camp.

Cadet Peter Hessey commented on the camp, "It was an amazing week, with some really great people, loads of new experiences, and lots of opportunities. It was definitely worth it, and I would eagerly go again".
