Wing cross country competition

Wing cross countryOn Sunday 20th February, Air Cadets from 22 (Sandy) Squadron took part in the Wing Cross-Country competition at Bassingbourn Barracks.

The course took the cadets around the old former RAF airfield, going along unpaved country tracks and open grass, finishing at Barracks gym. After the run, there was a short parade, to announce winners for each age group.

A number of cadets finished within the top for their individual age groups.

Cadet Lauren Barton (14) said, “The course was quite long, and the terrain really difficult. I was amazed when I finished in eighth, especially as I had to stop twice because of the mug”.
