Sandy cadets show their hockey skillsThree Air Cadets from 22 (Sandy) Squadron were recently selected for the Bedfordshire & Cambridgeshire Wing Girls Hockey team, after successfully making it through the selection trials at Bassingbourn Barracks.

Cadet Flight Sergeant Kim Coates (17), Cadet Sergeant Tiffany Cotton (15) and Cadet Laura Dorrell (14) were all selected to take part at the regional competition at RAF Cranwell in March.

The trials on Sunday 13th February, involve the cadets undertaking a number of hockey challenges to test their hockey skills, and teamwork abilities, ending with a number of matches to select the final team.

Cadet Laura Dorrell commented “I’m really pleased I’ve been selected for the wing team, and hope I do the Squadron proud”.

Civilian Instructor Sinead How also said “All the girls worked really hard and should be proud of their achievements”
