Festive Bag Packing

Bag PackingAir Cadets from 22 (Sandy) Squadron recently undertook four day of bag packing at their local Budgens supermarket in Sandy, raising over £1750 for the squadron.

The cadets worked tirelessly over the 22nd till 24th December, as well as New Year’s Eve, assisting customers to pack their bag in order to raise much need squadron funds, and raising awareness about the Air Cadets, and the activities undertaken over the last year.

Cadet Sam Neighbour (15), who attended the full 23 hours, said “The four days have been hard work, but the support from the town makes it all worth it. Everyone seemed to really appreciate us helping them with their bags, and it’s been great to speak to them about what we do”.

Many thanks go to Budgens in Sandy for their on-going support, and to the kind generosity of all those helped support the squadron with their donations. The funds will go a long way towards funding much needed training and outdoors equipment in the coming year.
