Sandy Cadets do the packing

Bag PackingOn Friday 27th August, Air Cadets and staff from 22 (Sandy) Squadron spent the day packing bags at their local Budgens supermarket, raising a total of £451.01 to help fund some much need camping equipment.

The cadets worked hard throughout the day, helping customers in the store to pack their bags, in order to raise some much need squadron funds, as well as showcasing the squadron to the public.

Flight Lieutenant Geoff Matthews commented on the day “The cadets have done a great job to raise so much money, and it’s great to see the support for the cadets around the town. The money will go a long way to providing opportunities for the cadets”.

Many thanks go to Budgens in Sandy for supporting the cadets, and to the kind generosity of the public for their generous donations. The funds will be put towards purchasing camping equipment to be used for the cadets Duke of Edinburgh’s Award expeditions.
