Sandy cadets pass trials

On Sunday 30th January, cadets from 22 (Sandy) Squadron attended the wing sports trials, competing for a place to represent Bedfordshire and Cambridgeshire wing.

The trials, held at RAF Brampton, were for the Junior Boys Rugby team, and the Senior Boys Soccer team, with the cadets being put through their paces, testing their sporting skills, knowledge of the sport and physical ability.

Congratulations go to Cadet Cameron Hall (14), who made it onto the Junior Boys Rugby team, and Cadet Corporal James Day (17) who was selected to join the Senior Boys Soccer team. Both will be travelling to RAF Cranwell for the inter-wing competition in March.

Cadet Hall said, “The trials were hard work, but being selected for the wing team has made it all worth it. Really looking forward to going to RAF Cranwell in March”
