Sandy Cadets On-Air

Cadets On-AirAir Cadets from 22 (Sandy) Squadron recently took to the airways during a live radio interview with Biggles FM.

Civilian Instructor Jeffrey Henshaw, Cadet Sergeant Kim Coates (16) and Cadet Simon Parsons (15) joined Biggles FM for a live chat during the Saturday Morning show to talk about the air cadet organisation and what the squadron have been doing recently.

Cadet Sergeant Kim Coates and Cadet Simon Parsons got to talk about the activities they have done recently, such as the squadron’s weekend at Folkestone, and also the upcoming parade and garden party Cadet Sergeant Coates will be attending at Buckingham Palace in celebration of 150 years of the cadet organisations.

Civilian Instructor Jeffrey Henshaw, a current member of staff and former cadet at the squadron, spoke about the opportunities on offer with the air cadets, as well as his own experiences as a cadet.

Cadet Simon Parsons said after the interview “I was really nervous about going on the radio, but it was an amazing experience. I enjoyed every minute”.
