New President for Sandy Cadets

Sqn PresidentAir Cadets from 22 (Sandy) Squadron recently welcome former Mayor of Sandy, Cllr Colin Osborne MBE, as their newly appointed Honorary President.

Mr Osborne and wife Diane Osborne have been keen supporters of the squadron over its 10 year history, organising fundraisers, and promoting the squadron’s hard work around the town. Mr Osborne takes over the role of president from Wing Commander Anthony Smith DFC AFC, who unfortunately passed away last year.

Mr Osborne said of his appointment “I was very delighted to be asked to become the new President for 22 (Sandy) Squadron. Although Wing Commander Smith will be a hard act to follow, I will endeavour to do my very best to support and encourage the squadron in all that they do. My wife Diane and I will enjoy watching them continue to achieve great things under their new Commanding Officer, Flight Lieutenant Mark Robinson.”
